Michele Yamaguma creates mixed media collages using Japanese washi, art papers, leaves, bamboo, paint, and threads. These original pieces have traditional themes with a contemporary touch.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Michele doodled her way into graphic arts as a college major.  Her extensive travels, the environment, and the mood she wishes to evoke are her inspiration.

Michele has been bringing her art to festivals and exhibitions throughout the U.S. since 1990.
